Therapeutic Day Treatment and Intensive In-Home Services

St. Joseph’s Villa’s Therapeutic Day Treatment and Intensive In-Home Services provide programs to address children’s behavioral issues. The program operates after school during the school year and from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm during the summer.

The Therapeutic Day Treatment service includes assessments and a structured program to address individual problem behaviors. Clients may receive a variety of services, including therapy (individual, group and psycho-educational) and family counseling.

On occasion, the after-school program by itself may not be enough to affect a change in client behavior. In some instances, the addition of intensive in-home counseling benefits the client by examining and helping to correct problems within the family that contribute to problem behaviors.

Project Turnaround, introduced in 2010, is an innovative program for students who have been expelled from their local school systems. During each day, students in the program learn strategies to address their behaviors, as well as receive aacdemic education to help them succeed in returning to school or securing employment.

Funding for the Villa’s Therapeutic Day Treatment and Intensive In-Home Services is provided through Medicaid, with no charge to the parent.
