VOLUNTEER SERVICES MISSION
The mission of St. Joseph’s Villa Volunteer Services Program is to offer meaningful opportunities for members of the community to help children with special needs learn to believe in themselves.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
St. Joseph’s Villa has many unique and rewarding opportunities for individuals and groups to play an important role in furthering the success of children and families. The Villa offers a wide variety of opportunities and projects, located on campus and at satellite campuses. Also, special projects can be custom designed to match interests, talents, skills and abilities. All activities are located on the Villa campus, except where otherwise noted. Below, please find some of the exciting areas of opportunity:

Donation Center Volunteers are needed to assist with receiving, sorting and displaying donations in the St. Joseph's Villa Donation Center Monday-Wednesday 11am-4pm. The center accepts New and “Like New” donations of household items, clothing, school supplies and furniture for the benefit of the clients of St. Joseph's Villa. Volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of 2 hours once a week. Volunteers should be comfortable lifting up to 30lbs and be at least 18 years old. This volunteer experience is an excellent opportunity for groups.

The Villa Pals Program is looking for a few good mentors!! If you enjoy working with elementary age children and have the ability to commit to volunteering with a student on a weekly basis we need YOU! The mission of the Villa Pals Program is to match elementary students with caring individuals who will cultivate supportive relationships that positively contributes to the student’s academic achievement and personal growth. For information on how you can participate in this new program please contact Catherine Stanley at 521-5577 or cstanley@sjvmail.net

2009 Villa Christmas Giving Program

Help make the holidays bright by sponsoring a child or a family for the Christmas holiday. The Villa serves more than 600 children and their families each day and many of these families are without the necessary resources to provide holiday gifts for their children. Through the generous support of our community the Villa is able to provide NEW clothing, toys, books, electronics and other household necessities for our families on Christmas morning. If you or someone you know are interested in helping to fulfill these holiday needs please contact Kay Miles at 200-1615 or kmiles@sjvmail.net
