With more than 250 employees who work with more than 500 children and families
each day, St. Joseph’s Villa always has something going on.
April 28 (6 to 10 pm) - The Bluegrass Ball - Join the Villa
and friends for "the 18th Hoedown to Stomp Homelessness," a fun
event to raise funds for Flagler Home, the Villa's transitional housing program
for homeless women and their children. With international bluegrass stars,
the Lonesome River Band, and food from David Napier's White House Catering.

Recent Awards for St. Joseph's Villa:
- Virginia Commonwealth University School of Social Work awarded St. Joseph's Villa the Samuel S. Wurtzel Community Partnership Award in appreciation of the Villa's "contributions to Social Work education through Field Instruction and community collaboration." The award was presented on May 14, 2010.
- Public Relations Society of America, Richmond Chapter presented St. Joseph's Villa with awards for its 2009 Transition Summit, publication of the "St. Joseph's Villa" book and a Commentary piece by Kathleen Burke Barrett which appeared in the November 29 Richmond Times-Dispatch. The awards were presented on May 6, 2010.
- Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities awarded St. Joseph's Villa its Distinguished Merit Citation on November, 2009, in recognition of the Villa's work to build stronger communities.
